In the first term of the 2022-2023 academic year, students in the introductory sociology course "Understanding Societies" carried out group projects: to produce presentation recordings that examine contemporary social issues by using Karl Marx's and Michel Foucaul's theories. The purpose of these projects is to reach out to younger students (e.g., in Junior Colleges, Polytechnics, High Schools) in Singapore and beyond and show them how sociology can offer fresh perspectives on our own lives and societies -- and how they might be transformed.
