Green: The Colour of Greed

"The world needs social science to make sense of human behaviour in the bigger context of society and shape better government policies for the betterment of our lives."

In the second term of the 2021-2022 academic year, students in the introductory sociology course "Understanding Societies" carried out group projects: to produce presentation recordings that examine contemporary social issues by using Karl Marx's and Max Weber's theories. The purpose of these projects is to reach out to younger students (e.g., in Junior Colleges, Polytechnics, High Schools) in Singapore and beyond and show them how sociology can offer fresh perspectives on our own lives and societies -- and how they might be transformed.
